Gas Safety Week
A reminder to all our landlords that it’s Gas Safety Week and you should ensure your gas appliances are checked before winter sets in.
Landlords are required by law to have gas appliances which they supply checked every 12 months, and provide the inspection report to the tenant.
Faulty appliances can cause a carbon monoxide (CO) leak which is an odourless, colourless and tasteless gas but is also highly poisonous and can kill within hours, or cause serious illness through long-term exposure.
A carbon monoxide detector can be installed in your property to warn tenants of a leak. Tenants should also be shown where the emergency gas shut off valve is in case of emergency.
If you want a registered gas engineer to check your boiler and appliances then email nikki.curry@letmove.com and take advantage of the special deal we are currently offering for a boiler service at the reduced cost of £50 plus VAT instead of the normal £60 plus VAT.
Don’t delay – act today.
